We have three of our birthdays over with for the year. I feel actually fortunate that my kids birthdays are so close together and, that they are all in warmer weather.

I don't do birthday parties much anymore. I thought it a bit much to ask people to come over all the time once we had four kids. With regular holidays, four birthdays and all the other stuff in between , we opted out of birthdays parties.. not to mention, the cost!

We had decided to do just BIG birthdays for the kids ... this year, I would have had TWO big birthdays. Abigail just turned 5 and Gabe will be 10! Oh brother, I was not looking forward to two big parties.

But, I was able to have cake and ice cream last minute for Kaleb and Abigail (their birthdays are 9 days a part with the 4th in the middle) . They were so happy. We had so many people come out for their day and .... as thrown together as it was, they had such a great time. Even the older two had so much fun and talked about it for days!

We let off lanterns at the end of the party. Abigail LOVES Tangled and so this was a perfect way to end the evening. Tony and Shonte (my new neighbors who had recently moved) had never done them before and were super excited there was an extra to do one !!!

For Abigals actual birthday, she asked to go to the beach. I was shocked since we hadn't ever been (at least not since she has been born) so, we packed up with my brother , his wife and my niece and went to the beach for the day! It was the PERFECT day, the perfect little beach where planes flew over us all day! I had such an awesome time taking pictures and enjoyed watching my kids have an awesome time.
