Homeschool happenings!

I really love looking back at old posts. That is why I blog! Every so often I will go back and see old pictures and fun times..
Sometimes, it is sad as life has changed so much over the past few years and sometimes it is just great to remember my "babies" as ... well, babies.

This week school has gone great.. In fact when I woke up today (my normal time which is always before the kids) the kids were already up and sitting on Anna's bed and getting school done! It was a very nice way to wake up for sure!
This week has been mostly basics... with a craft day and a field trip!

It has been beautiful here and we took advantage of it the other day, we went on a leaf walk ... we took two neighbor kids (one who is also homeschooled and the other is four ) and we all collected leaves!
We made a leaf lantern (no pic)... Leaf critters (no pic) ... leaf wreaths and leaf coasters (pics later)!
We had a great time hunting for the prettiest leaves and enjoyed the park since we were there anyway!

We took another trip to the village! We went with my Pastor and his family. His oldest two hadn't been there since they were really young and their new daughter in law (from Georgia) hadn't ever been there!

This is the Firestone Farm. Ya know, Firestone Tires?
This is a "working farm" at the village so we were watching them make supper. They also have land where they plant harvest and turkeys and chickens!

This is a sitting room in the Firestone Farm.

Abby in the outhouse LOL

This is a sign hanging in the Wright Brothers home. Their dad was a Church of the United Brethren of Christ.

The table setting in their dining room!

The Village has a new play area that JUST opened .. the kids LOVED it... I normally do not spend a lot of time in the play areas in places like this but, we had to~

I love this picture.... Anna was spinning and holding on for dear life and laughing all the way!

Other than that like I said homeschooling has been pretty basic.. Math, spelling, grammar, handwriting, etc etc.
Been going well tho. Kaleb seems to still be loving school which makes me super happy!
