Settling in!

We are settling into our new home.
Last night while we were lazing around I was thinking about how quickly this became "home". It seemed like it didn't take too long for us to feel comfy here.

The boxes however, seem NEVER ENDING. It seems as soon as I get all the boxes put away... there are 10 more.. they multiply in the night I am VERY sure of it.
But, all in all I am in love with my new home and all the old charm it has!

We have already decorated for Christmas .... well, mostly. This is a bit early even for me. But, it was all moved here and the options were to leave it out until closer to Thanksgiving, put it away and bring it back out again or, just put it up.... Since me and the children LOVE Christmas, we opted just to put it up.. there is more to do, the skirt is packed away somewhere and the garland was old and crusty so we need more. We haven't put a topper up nor any of the stockings but, the bulk is up and the empty bins/boxes out of my hair which, was the goal.
Here is a little look at our home for Christmas tho, more will follow, this isn't as I said all that there is!

My camera was set on a vintage setting. I love the way it looks... aside from the "Cars" jams on Kaleb, it could be an old picture... This is them with daddy's puppy Blade and of coarse, Prince.  This is our main tree in the living room. It is one of four trees we have up... (more of them later) but this is the main one... our biggest...

This picture is blurry but, I love at night to see the lights bouncing all over the floor and ceiling!

And, this is my second biggest tree.. It is in my mudroom. The lights are red and all the bulbs are gold, green and red. I LOVE a modge podge tree , like our main tree, but I also love a "department store" tree that is all uniform and just pretty. I love the way this looks in my mudroom and, as soon as I saw this house I instantly knew I wanted my  little tree to be in here!

We had a couple of weeks of of school due to the move. There has been a TON of back and forth and  a TON of cleaning and moving. We were right on schedule with the all-year schooled kids in the area as they also were off for two weeks at about the same time.
Today we were back with a little review .... we eased back in. I have learned the hard way over time that , that is the only way to go. Makes the transition smoother.. and, it worked.. ALL of them asked for extra work to do today!

It hasn't been ALL work and NO play however...
We did manage to head up to a local mall where Macy's had a beautiful fireworks display for Santa's arrival ... We don't do Santa at our house but we DO do Firework. What an awesome combo... hot chocolate, Christmas music and fireworks. It was one of the best displays I have ever seen to be honest. Nicely done Macy's nicely done!

The kids also got into the mood for snow with all of our Christmas stuff up and because we got a little bit on the ground last week (was it last week? Time is melding together)
So, they made snowflakes. I really wish I would have taken a picture of the way that the dining room looked after they had made them.... it was a mess like NO OTHER... glitter and teeny paper every where.
But, they cleaned it up and had an obvious blast doing it!

This week we plan to do school and be more chill . The last few weeks has us a bit on the tired side and Abs has this runny nose that won't go away which causes her to cough at night!
We are also getting a new pup this week... tho, he is not REALLY a pup. He is 6. He is beautiful and we are totally in love with him. More on him later ... and the story behind him and how we are coming to get him. His name is Storm and the kids are counting down the seconds.
