Repurposing and being sick "Fun"

A long time ago (back in May)  I posted about our bathroom redo (you can see that HERE ).
The funds and time ran out and the walls had remained bare for a long time.

After sometime I got tired of looking at the blank green walls and started to add things little by little.
My first addition was this pretty little butterfly. This is actually a fabric butterfly that I put in a frame. After adding this I decided I would be adding butterflies to the bathroom because, well, I love them :)

This hung there all by its lonesome until I made and hung this

You can see the post about this, along with a tutorial HERE

Awhile back ago I had mentioned to my mother in law that I had wanted to order some of these 3D like butterflies from Target.
She then said "That reminds me, I have some butterflies that I have been meaning to give you"
She told me where I could retrieve them and they were these...
*these are not the exact ones... but these are identical.

I asked her if she minded me painting them because, in silver they would be perfect!
She said that they were mine and to do what I pleased... so, I did.
I painted them silver and, I adore them. I put them with the
pretty little blue butterfly on my bathroom soffit.

Then there was the matter of the blank wall across from the toilet. I have plans for that wall. BIG ones.. but for now, I have to work with what I have... and so, I had this black rod iron wall hanging that had no place in my home but, I couldn't bare to throw it out.... So, I did what any gal would... I took some spray paint to it. :)
.... and we have this

I think the flowers go great with the flowers on the shower curtain ...

This for now, is the end result

BUT, I have big plans. Where the butterflies in the shadow box above my toilet are (on the left) I have shelving. I am unable to hang it and my husband hasn't had time. Those butterflies will have a new home (a spot already waiting) but for now, it is what it is.
Also, I have plans for my shower curtain. Where that fabric butterfly came from there are more. A LOT MORE.... they are all in vintage prints and lovely. I have a plain white curtain and I plan to adhere them to the curtain and have a butterfly curtain ... but for now, I do love the flower one and the greens are a perfect match.
There is also  mirror that I had seen in a store (IKEA) that I want to put where the silver flower hanging is.... It has green and blue and I want to add a little more blue to the green. I think they compliment each other nicely.
I will post more as I go along, It is a work in progress but, aren't all home improvements?

My husband brought a cold home from work.
We have done light school the past few days. They all have yucky noses and lost voices. So, we are taking it pretty easy.

Today we are having  a Wii day. It is months in between uses of the Wii.. the kids are excited today is one of those days!
