Things I am thankful for today.... My parents. They were always great parents. They were very young when I was born (17 and 21) but they were always loving and caring and provided all of our needs. They also had an excellent balance of love and discipline.
They instilled in me the importance of family and traditions and all of that awesome stuff that I thought all kids got but realized when I got older, that isn't always the case!
I am thankful for my brother. We are 10.5 months apart. We grew up practically twins! And, even tho when we were younger we would fight (like siblings do) we were still best friends. He has and still is very protective over me and now my children. He is an awesome sibling!!!!
And lastly for today, I am thankful to be able to homeschool.
I remember not always wanting to homeschool. In fact, I was upset when it became clear that was the direction we were heading. But, God is always good and He changed my heart on the subject and now, I couldn't imagine it any other way.
Here are some snippets from this week!
We continues our thanksgiving theme..
We studied the "First Thanksgiving" and wrote a book about it!
This is Gabes cover, I thought it cute!
(Gabe, Kaleb, Anna)
Yesterday we did a craft more on the fun side. I traced each of their feet, cut up some tissue paper and .... Viola we have turkeys!
(Abigail, Gabe Anna, Kaleb)
Abigail has been having fun learning how to write her name. She literally writes it EVERYWHERE.
The other day she did it in the hummus using a carrot. She is a hoot.
I love her b's they look like cherries to me :)
And NONE of this would be possible without our GIANT tub o' crayons!
I refuse to let them fill it even tho I have enough to do so.... It always cracks me up
seeing it sit in the middle of the school table
