I do not claim to be good at it... but, love it I do!!!
As I posted months back we redid our bathroom... (seen HERE )
Since then I have been working on putting my little touches.. Recently I added butterflies and a new wall hanging (seen HERE )
But, the butterfly shadow box I made (tutorial HERE ) was not meant for above the toilet in fact, over a year ago before we redid the bathroom, I purchased a shelf set from Target for that spot.
My husband works a TON so I do hate to ask but finally I was able to give him my batty eyelashes and he hung my shelves up... *don't mind the colors of the walls.. taking pictures in my bathroom is REALLY hard to capture the true color.. it is a really pretty green, I promise :) *
The only permanent fixture on these shelves are the teeny little bottles. We purchased those at a historical village in our area and they are hand blown right there on location. I think they are totally darling.
Over time I will put the finishing touches on these shelves as well. There are also two little cube shelves that came with this set that I am in the process of deciding if I want them hung our not... Or, maybe a different location all together.
Anyway.. I had an old rod iron flower hanging and I had spray painted it silver to go in the bathroom (the wall across from the toilet)
It was pretty and all but... it lacked... something.
One day it hit me to turn it from this....
....to this...
I hot glued blue craft marbles (bought at the dollar store)
to the back to bring some of that blue glass to this wall and really make the flowers POP.
I am pleased with the outcome... I do not think it looks so drab now.
As always it is a work in progress.. as I said I really enjoy this sort of thing..
