Two Posts!!

Look at me go. Two posts in a day!
I'm trying to be intentional in my blogging. I feel sad that there is a big gap where I wasn't blogging. That I can't go back and see the memories that I cherish.
On that note... Christmas! Ok,  I know it's only the beginning of October but... Christmas!
If you know me at all you know my favorite season is Christmas. I love it. Any and all things Christmas makes my heart smile.
This year,  we are unsure where we will be spending Christmas. It's our first as a blended family so there is a lot of excitement about that. But, we are also in the process of selling and buying a house! We aren't sure if Christmas will be celebrated here or in our new home ! Either way I'm extra excited and, we made our first purchase toward our first Christmas together.
I have always had the tradition of a new family ornament every year. Sometimes it's one that just relates to our family and,  sometimes it's one that IS our family (OR our family as turtles or something like that).
We went to Frankenmuth last weekend and my husband wanted to get our family ornament at Bronners  (an all year Christmas store here in Michigan. Look it up. It's a Christmas lovers DREAM).
There aren't a lot of ornaments that have a family of 8. Our choices were pretty limited.  Jimmy wanted the ornament to have all of the kids nicknames on it , which I thought was a fun idea !
So, this is what we ended up with. I absolutely love it and can NOT wait for it to occupy our first Christmas tree together .

And since we are on Christmas, I'll share the other  two other ornaments that we got this year.
In February I turned 40. It was the best birthday I have ever had, even if a hospital stay threatened to ruin my surprise 40th party.
On my actual birthday we visited Bronners and I got this ornament to document my visit !

Ironically, my kids chose the saying and it happened to be theme of the party my mom threw for me a week later! Which was such an amazing party and day.. But, yah, a blue glass  balloon. Y'all know how much that combo makes me happy!

Our honeymoon was pretty short. We have 6 kids and while we wanted to be alone, we were also anxious to spend time finally as a family. We took a day again to ride to Frankenmuth (I think I'm obsessed) to get our wedding bulb. Jimmy picked it out because it has a phrase he always says to me .. that he love me Forever and always!

I'm excited and anxious to see where we will be setting up the tree and where I will be spending my favorite season with my favorite 7 people.
