A Post!

I feel like we have been so busy that I don't even remember to blog anymore

I have been busy with work, homeschooling, homemaking , church going and and and.
None of that is anymore than any other mom out there. We are all kept busy by our daily life. It doesn't matter if we work, stay home, homeschool, send the kids to school... regardless, it is a tough job!

Lately I haven't felt very connected. I have felt very much like I am on auto-pilot...
School has been NOTHING more than the basics.. The house has been cleaned nothing more than the basics... parenting.. just the basics... well you get the point.

Yesterday the kids and I did some yard work around here. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine and enjoying the fresh air.
After that, we took two walks. We haven't been around our new neighborhood much so it has been nice to get out and wave to neighbors and smile at puppies.
While we were out the first time around, I realized I didn't have my phone.
I started to feel a bit panicky and we started for home.
On the way home the kids and I were trying to figure out if I brought it, lost it ... what had happened.
They asked me what I would do if I had in fact lost it.
I told them I would need to buy a new one but, that would probably mean I would have to take the money from a little fund that the kids and I have for a vacation we have been planning.
I thought for sure they would say "WHAT?" or "NO MOM" but instead the words that came from their mouths just melted my heart....
"It's ok mom, there is always next year"
What? How do I deserve you and your sweet words?
I am thankful that when I came home that my phone was here. I am thankful that I didn't have to spend the money we are saving (VERY slowly but surely) on a new phone.
It isn't a lot of money.. just some extra money if I happen to get a tip at work or something like that. It has taken a long time to get to what we have now..
Thankfully, a new phone doesn't have to be bought but, even more thankful that my kids who, have lost a lot this year were able to say "That's ok" to losing yet one more thing!
God is so good and I feel so blessed!

On a side note, BASEBALL season is here! I have been blessed to go to a game already.
it was a great time and we had awesome seats!
We won in extra innings so, BONUS.
A couple pics from the game!
