A New Year!

Tomorrow is New Years Eve.
It is hard to imagine that it is about to be 2014.
I remember thinking that 1999 was this far off time and that we would be riding in flying cards and have robots for house keepers (can someone say Jetsons?).
It isn't as tho we are far off from those things. Technology has come a long way. We have the entire world at our finger tips on our phones. Just yesterday I asked my phone a question that, years ago would have required going to the library or something crazy like that. Nope, I asked at a red light in my car!
It is strange that another year has come and gone.
Last year had a lot of sadness and hurt. It was a strange year and while I couldn't wait for 2013, it proved to be a tough year for myself and others around me.
There were some deaths...my mom had open heart.. I lost some family members (not due to death) .. I had to start working and we have moved.

But, there were also many happy things that happened last year and those are what I chose to focus on.

2014 is bound to bring more heartache, I am bound to shed some tears and, I am bound to weep over those gone from my life... But, 2014, just like 2013 will also bring happiness and joy. It WILL bring tears of joy , friendships , blessings and Gods Grace.
2014 I am sure, won't be perfect. But, nothing that will happen will be a surprise to God. He knows what this new year holds for me, for all of us. He knows every tear I will shed and every giggle I will make and, for that I take great comfort. I know that no matter what 2014 throw our way, I will be OK because God is in control. How grateful I am for that promise.

So, bring on 2014. Bring on the laughter and good times. I am looking forward to them!

Someone I have known since I first started my walk with the Lord made a CD. I recommend checking it out and I defiantly recommend buying it. It has been SO helpful to me lately in the rough times..  I have SEVERAL favorites . One is "Stand by Me" and the other is "Leave it there" .  I listen to both on repeat on bad days! Go HERE and listen to the snippets and buy the CD. I promise you won't be sorry. It has been such a blessing.
*btw, Stand by me is Abigails favorite song and she asks me to play it  over and over and she sings as loud as she can! It is even a blessing to my four year old :P *

And HERE is the website to order the Cd.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE out there in the blog world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
