I am always extra extra thankful in the month of November. I do suppose it is the celebration of Thanksgiving that makes that so but, regardless, November for me is a time to reflect on the things that make me thankful.
I will be posting every Thursday in November things that I am thankful for. They are in no particular order... they are just things as they come to my head. I imagine my lists will be long as.. I can't help but be thankful for every little tiny thing I have.
Last night during praises and prayer requests at church I could have raised my hand 345 times and still had more to praise. GOD IS THAT GOOD! Thank you Lord!
Well there is the obvious... My salvation.. without it I couldn't imagine where I would be.
I would probably still be drinking and doing drugs. I would probably not have my four beautiful children and if I did, who knows what kind of life they would have had.
They probably wouldn't be in church and one of them saved by the blood of Christ.
They may not be fed, or have a safe place to call home. I shudder to think of the life my kid could have had, if I even had kids at all if I had not been saved!
Then there is GRACE. God is merciful to me a sinner. He knows that my nature is to sin and yet, He loves me. I do not get that, but, I am ever so thankful for it! I fail Him all the time and He doesn't fail me. He gives me grace when I truly do not deserve it.
Of coarse my beautiful children
I always wanted to be a mom. Even as a small child. I have always always loved children and still do (especially my own :P) I remember after Anna was born thinking "I can die now and die happy because I am a mom" Of coarse I didn't really want to die and thankfully I was able to be a mom 3 more times after that but, my life long goal was to be a mom and even tho when I was younger my dream to start a family wasn't until 35.. God had other plans and it all happened before I was 35 :)
I am thankful that I can stay home and Homeschool my kids.
I do realize this is not appealing to many woman and that is fine for them. But, it is something that I am thankful for. I do not take it for granted. I had to go to work for a little bit last year and it made me even MORE thankful for my job as a stay at home mom. Tho, I do have to say that a mom who works and takes care of her home has MUCH more work to do then I do. I am thankful for the time that I am allowed with my children and the fun that we have as a family as a result of my staying home. This isn't always possible for many families and we sacrifice but, I have a husband who works extra hard to keep us afloat and allows me to be here for my kids 24/7
I am thankful for a hard working husband!
If I could use one word to describe my husband it would be Hardworking. He works very very hard for his family. Sacrifices things and his time so that his kids can get what we believe to be the best education and a mom always home with them. He loves his children very much and is an awesome dad!
A cozy home!
It is not a palace but it is ours and we love it.
Some would say it is too small for our family but, I say it is just right (at least for now, who knows what God has for us in the future)
We are warm, we have beds, clothes, shoes and food.. What more could I possibly ask for? Especially when there are SO many out there with WAY less then we have and sometimes with more children!
My Church.
I have only been attending there about a year now. But I do so love it and the people in it.
God is so good to allow me to be a member of yet another amazing church!
Well this is getting pretty long :) so I will leave it with this for now~!
