I bought myself a waffle maker oh, a year ago maybe (I lose track of time)
When I bought it, I could not WAIT to make my children homemade waffles.
I brought it home, got all ready and.... I had no flour.
So, I made them with pancake/waffle mix that I had in my cabinet (Krusteaz)
The kids LOVED them. But, the following day I went out and got some flour, and spent the next week or so trying to find the PERFECT waffle recipe.
The kids REALLY enjoyed this time as ... what kid wouldn't but every day while I looked at them with their forks in hand and a smile on my face, their answer would be the same " I like the ones made with Krusteaz best" BIG SIGH
I didn't WANT them to want the Krusteaz. I wanted to be be "that mom" that made homemade waffles from scratch for my children... what kind of mom would I be?
Then, I decided WHO CARES. They love it, it is easier for me.. 5-6 bucks gets me this HUGE bag of Krusteaz (which lasts FORever) and, they love it...(did I mention that?) And so, Krusteaz it is.
But, we like to "spice it up" from time to time. The kids really like vanilla and cinnamon in the mix.. makes for a yummy waffle and did I mention it is cheap and easy and they love it?
So, am I being a bad mom? eh probably but, not because of the type of waffles I chose to feed my kids... some would venture to say it is the homeschooling, skirt wearing, unsocializing (ha) that my kids have been subjected to that makes me the bad mom :P

You're a great mom. They're happy and love your waffles. Errr, uhhh... Krusteaz's waffles. But you make 'em so that makes their mom "the bomb-diggity." :)
