The Tree is up, the presents are bought (well for our kids anyways.... Not much but a couple little things) and the lights are on outside.. makes me want EVERY night to be a hot chocolate kinda night.
We have so much to be thankful for in this season of thanksgiving. For many things the list really could go on for days... but recently its has been for Gods provision. During this hard time in our Country today, I am so thankful for all that he has given us!!
We had a real burden this weekend.. it weighed heavy on both mine and my husbands hearts. Finally, I prayed, and gave it to my heavenly Father. I had peace ...... Till Monday came ..... dreaded MONDAY.......
Today, with a heavy heart, we went to take care of this burden and sure enough THE LORD HAD TAKEN CARE OF IT... and then some. PRAISE GOD.
How lucky we are to have him to talk to, and leave our burdens with ... How lucky we are that he loves us, supplies our needs and for what? I dont do anything "special" for him.. in fact... if any of us were to be honest, we dont do NEARLY enough.. we are lucky that despite that, he loves us, and still supplies our needs.
I was thinking on these things.... with the Season upon us and soo many out there anxious to see what they "get" I am left to ponder what I already have.... Salvation of coarse... A wonderful Church family, A good marriage, Beautiful children... but, in the worlds eyes.. what are these things? I started thinking about what the "world" thinks is "something"
- We dont live in a million dollar home, but its ours, and we love it. *besides I do have a mansion just over the Hill top*
- We dont have alot of money... But, who cares we have a treasure in Heaven!
- We dont drive an expensive car.... but its ours and we get to where we are going.
- We dont dine on the fanciest foods... but, we do love food :P
- We dont wear the name brand clothes... but we got hand - me - downs and thrift stores!
- We dont know the lastest fashions ... but, we do know how we dress is pleasing to the Lord.
- We dont know the latest movies... but, we do spend alot of time together as a result.
- We dont know the last bands.... but we do know alot of Hymns and they fill our house with Joy.
as I typed this out I thought of a song that a friend of mine sang at our Revival this past October... It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it... just seeing the words will be a blessing, but it is better if you get the chance to hear it! :D

Well, I've read this three times and three times I've tried to comment and something has turned my attention away. Ever had one of those days? lol
