Its Sunday and we are home with a Sick day.. My Gabe is feeling sick... actually he seems to be feeling quite better but all last night he was up sick. I am not sure what it was.. but he had a fever yesterday, dopey eyes, and general not feeling well all last night... today however.. he is a pistol...
I will see how he feels for tonight as I dont want to miss church tonight for fifth sunday singing. He was supposed to sing with his class, as I was supposed to sing with my group.
He developed the sickies while we were up north... We went up for the night on Friday. My husband went hunting on Friday evening and got a button buck. Saturday we were supposed to leave early so I could bathe the kids and such for CHurch today. He decided to process the deer himself... which, is fine but takes a LOOONG time... so, we didnt get to leave my dads till after 10... not soo fun wiht a sick kid, but he also couldnt just leave in the middle of processing his deer..
It was a blessing for him to have shot a deer. Gun season ends here pretty soon and he had been out a few times with no luck... I am thankful for the extra meat... His parents give us a bunch of beef for CHristmas every year too... so we will have quite a bit and be set for the winter at least (tho likely longer). That is a huge relief.
I am also thankful that my husband isnt a "trophey" buck type... While its nice to have a nice big rack to show off to your pals... The meat is the real reason to go out and hunt, and I am thankful that he will shoot a doe, or a button buck in this case so that it can help our family out.
I am also thankful that he would attempt to process it all himself and save the 70 plus dollars it takes to have it done... He had never done it before, but I am confident he did a perfect job (looks perfect to me).
Well I am going to go and put another movie on for my little guy , I told him he can stay in bed all day if he wants.... Poor guy.
