Goodbye 2014...( A Little Late I Know)

So, 2014 is gone.
There were a lot of ups and downs for us this year.  There were some really rough days and some really awesome ones ...Some people walked out of our lives and some walked in.
And, there were a lot of firsts.....

I bought my first house (alone). I had bought a house with my husband. It was a mutual decision but, I always felt it was HIS house since he was the one paying for it and it. However,  I bought my own house.. It is not a palace but it is ours. I love my house and I am SO SO SO thankful for it!
I bought my first NEW car. It was such an awesome feeling getting the key to my own house and , I have to say equally thrilling to get the keys to my first new car! My dad helped a ton with all the paper work but, it is all in MY name and I pay for it myself... It is nice to not feel like I am going to break down while I am driving around with my kids in tow.

I did my first 5k. I walked most of it because I had to work a full day (of catering) before I went to the race so I was exhausted before I even got there...  But , I did it... I completed it and it was very exciting!  (it was called the Neon Vibe and was a night run, that is why I have "paint" all over me)

Wore my first ever pair of heels. It was a to a friends daughters wedding. It was a great time and I loved these sparkly shoes. Need a new reason to wear them I think :)

I had ALWAYS wanted to do the glass blowing at The Greenfield Village. So, I did it! It was so much fun and even tho my flower turned out a little flawed it is just beautiful and I love it and..

I got to share the experience with such a great friend!

I dyed my hair purple. I mean REALLY purple. It was AWFUL.

(it really did look different in my head~)

Because I died my hair purple I had to go really dark to cover it. I went red and I really like the color! At least for now :)

I became MOM OF THE YEAR when I successfully transformed Optimus Prime into a semi..
The kids tried for days and were pretty down about it.. They don't know the hours I spent while they slept figuring it out. The gasps, smiles and "how did you do thats" were so worth it!

I got adventurous in the kitchen. .. I made my own recipe to Stuffed Mushrooms.

I used a grill for my first time ever. It was at my friends house and it turned out delish! Now, to get my own grill and do it more often! :)

Sent my kids off to school for the first time. It was a very emotional day. School has had its ups and downs but, for the most part, it has been a positive thing and, even tho my kids are in school and all of us like it.. I am STILL a homeschooler at heart. One day, I do hope that I can home school them again!

Went to my very first football game. It was at Ford Field where are our Detroit Lions play however, this was a game we were hosting for NY when they got all that snow. My boys love football. I don't know the first thing about it so , my boys and I went on a date and they tried to teach me the rules. It was a lot different being there ..

I went with Kaleb (by myself) to get stitches when he was accidentally hit in the face with a metal bat. He was more brave than me.

Had our first ever "Cousins Weekend" up north with several of my cousins..

A lot of lazing around

and walking my property!

Even got together to play games!

I found out I not only like darts but.. I am good at it!
(not sure that this is my shot but... I AM still good :P )

Some other firsts I did that didn't get pictures was..
I had two clogs in my bathroom at once.. the sink and tub. I worked at them both and got them both done. It was my first ever plumbing jobs and , the tub took me two weeks but, I did it!

I wasn't sad to see 2014 end. In fact, I was excited about the new year. I have made some decisions that are bound to make this year better than the last and, so far, it has been.
12 years ago New Years Eve changed my life forever when I met my (ex) husband. 12 years ago on New years my life changed for ever. There has been a lot of heartbreak over the past 12 years (mainly the last 4) but, I am very thankful for them. I am going to focus on the things I am thankful for this year. I am eliminated stress .. the people and things that cause it too!
I am looking forward to 2015 more than I have any other year before .
