So far 2013 has been pretty dreary. I am not only talking about weather tho, I must say that it hasn't helped.
Quite a few people that I love are hurting this year and my heart breaks for them and with them. One has lost a brother, another a husband and lastly a son.
As I say dreary but, God is good ... and in the midst of the tragedies that have accured over the past month.. I have seen him working in and through it all.
It is hard to understand how/why such tragic things happen but, I am thankful that we have a merciful God to lean on during these times... if you are reading this and have a minute.. please pray for my family and friends who are hurting... I know they would appreciate it.
Meanwhile.. life is going on. School in February was slow and very minimal.. just the basics for us as there was a lot going on.
we have managed to get some stuff done (including a field trip) ....
So, here are our February and begining March happenings....
Gabe making bubbles while washing his hands
\
Anna and Gabe in an INTENSE game of Battleship
I turned 36 (this is a cake from my brother and sister in law)
I dyed my hair red (orange) tho, I will be going back to
blond when summer gets here
Had my annual birthday sushi
Went to the museum with friends...
This was at the museum... a text message pic for my mom
Too cute not to make the blog :)
I am a Generaton X-er
see always something to learn at the museum :)
They had Legos and of coarse my little baseball
freak made a Detroit Tigers sign from Legos lol
Went to the NEW Tim Hortons by our house ....
With the cutiest little bumble bee in town
(she spent the entire day in this)
and this made my heart smile.
Today Kaleb had to read the word
and draw a picture... well, I will let
the picture speak for itself
I love that he thought it meant "read" just
shows his innocence and how much he has left
to learn... I also love that when he thought
read, he thought the Bible :)
This is one of the MANY reasons I love to homeschool
And, if you happen to read this before Weds .. please say a prayer for my mom.
She is having bypass surgery and we would appreciate the prayers.
THANKS.

I'm so sorry that you have friends hurting. I do, too. Makes it hard to rejoice in the lovely spring weather. How is your mom doing? Praying for her now.
Thanks for your prayers Valerie
My mom is doing MUCH better... off all tubes, I.V's and all of that.. just in pain.
I'm so thankful that God is there to comfort us when we're in the valley.
BTW, happy birthday. 36 seems so young now that I'm turning 40!
BTW #2, love the hair!!! I like change and it looks good on you.
BTW #3 I'm a Generation X-er too. Didn't know it though.
Anyhow, your kiddos are adorable as usual. Looks like a fun last month. Have a great week my friend!
