It was a beautiful day for a drive. Sun was shining but it wasn't too hot. I LOVE days like that. The only thing that would have made it better would have been some orange, red and yellow leaves :)
When we got to my dads he happened to be in a meeting and so we set off to entertain ourselves . First went went to our property. We have a little lot off of a lake up there. There is nothing on it, it is very overgrown. But, we bought it for.. get this, a hundred bucks! And while we never do much but go and explore a bit.. it was so cheap we couldn't resist. This also gives us lake access (when we get the boat up there) so, it works out.
So, we hung out there for a bit....
We collected wild flowers
Then we went off to see what we could see. We found an old abandoned house
SO, we took a look
The kids let out some energy running up and down the lane.
Ruger LOVED the unending supply of sticks to chew!
Before we left, the kids got busy "chopping down trees"
on the way to the car, Gabe found some "wheat" he thought
since he was wearing his "happy pants" that
he should also have wheat hanging from his mouth!
After we left we took off to my uncles house
Oh the sky was SO beautiful. These were
taken out of my window going 60mph but you
can still see how beautiful blue the sky was
at my uncles the kids had a BLAST...
They found a frog, a caterpillar (brown and black, I have never seen
a brown and black one) and 3 four week old kittens.
Funny, the boys have the creepy crawly stuff and Anna has the
fluffy kitties ...Don't blame her.
We then visited my dad and had an awesome time. We didn't stay too too long
because he was tired from a week in the hospital.
We had a nice trip and a nice ride.. when we got home they were
ALL exhausted.
(after ALL THESE YEARS I still love to watch them sleep <3 p="p">
