getting through the chores

I would love to say that I am one of those woman who wake up and walk straight to the apron with a smile on my face... eager to get my house cleaned, dinner cooked (from scratch) and the kids all schooled.
But, that is not me. Don't get me wrong. I am SO thankful to have this job. To be a wife and mother and to have a home to clean.. but, can I say that I walk into the kitchen after having just did the dishes and look at that sinkful and rejoice? yah, no. While I am thankful to have had the food to eat, and the children to make the plates dirty.. I think I would be even MORE thankful to have someone standing there to hand my plate to , to wash it for me :)
HOWEVER, that is not going to happen . It is ME who cleans my house and, I can decide to do it joyfully oll woafully.aAnd, I have tried the woaful route... makes it much harder I promise.
I have come up with a way to get motivated into housework. If I walk in, and look at my kitchen which has been blessed from the night before :) and I feel dread.. I think of a friend I would like to chat with, to catch up with a little and, before I know it, my kitchen is sparkling! Then I Have had some interaction (*gasp with an adult) and have caught up with a friend and have a clean kitchen. Kills 3 birds with one stone!
So, next time you feel a little dread about blessing your house, think of someone who could use a pick me up and give her a call. You will find the work goes much faster with a friend~

Some days the Lord just blesses me with that motivation. I wake up, my feet hit the floor, and my mind starts putting chores in order.

Unfortunately, it's not every day ... not even most days.

This suggestion sounds like fun!

I did get a chuckle out of "*gasp* with an adult" ;-)
