KALEBS 5

(this is a picture of Kaleb his first day wearing glasses at 7 months old )

Today my "baby" boy turns five. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I actually had to sit and recalculate and be SURE it had been five years since it just didn't seem possible.. but, yes, he is five.

This time last year my labor had started... I was in labor less then an hour and pushed for like five minutes and, he was here at 2:08 pm... :)

He was 9lbs and 4oz of PURE LOVE... so squishy and sweet.

I remember the begining of my pregnancy , I wanted a girl. I only wanted a girl because I have never had a sister and I REALLY wanted Anna to have a sister to grow up with. When I found out he was a boy, I had a little gender disappointment... not because he was a boy and because I was going to have a son but, for Anna, who was a 3 year old girl and had NO clue either way... I felt like maybe she had been missing out on Something.... BUT.... the second I looked at his chubby little face and our eyes locked... I cried feeling badly that I EVER EVER wanted him to be a girl , regardless of my reasons.

He is smart, and witty and very very.... strong willed. yah, thats it, strong willed :)

He makes me laugh and cry and alll the in between.

Tonight we will celebrate at dinner with family. He is getting a buzz and woody cake. he is SO excited. :)
