Spring... is that you???

I am ever so thrilled with our weather situation here lately. It's been a LONG winter and its exciting to see the sunshine.
The kids and I took a walk the other day.. we were careful to stop at all the different trees and check out all the different buds on them. I am looking forward to taking a walk next week and seeing how they have changed and bloomed.
I love the spring. It used to be when someone asked me "what's your favorite season" I used to say "Fall" HANDS DOWN. But, I have realized that I love them both equally and for completely different reasons.
Fall is wonderful. The cool fall air is welcomed after a hot summer. The colors are AMAZING and the smell delicious....
But, spring... spring offers something different. First, lets talk about the sunshine... Winters here start to get very drab and grey. So much so that when I do actually see the sun I often can't get the cheesy smile off of my face. It just makes everything so cheery.
Then, we have all the "new birth" It's when animals have their babies, when flowers sprout up, buds pop up all over the trees... There is also a smell of spring.. not delicious as it is in fall but, it is defiantly pleasant.
I had my first child in April. In spring, in a season of new birth. It was a great month. I have had four kids, all in different months and April was my favorite by far. Having a teeny tiny newborn baby in the starts of spring was... I dunno symbolic even tho, I am not "one of those" .. I don't know, I just can not explain I guess.
In this season of my life, I am looking forward to the weather changing as well as situations... its been a grey season here... But, as we are fortunate enough to have the Seasons change.. so do the seasons of our lives. I am ever so thankful to live in a state that I am able to have all four seasons.
