Yuck, Ick, EWW

I dont know why my kids, like every other kid in the world.. LOVE to play with the yuckiest things.
My kids spent four hours one day outside collecting all the different bugs they could find.
They really had a good time but, with each new bug came a pit in my stomach as, they ran to show me all excited "Thats nice and get that thing out of my house" was all I could muster... hey, its better then "Stop touching that disgusting stuff and play something clean and not so disgusting" like I wanted to say :P But, who am I to make them germ freaks such as myself so, I let them play.. but it doesnt mean I have to like it does it? :D

Anyways... We have snails in boutiful supply around here. They are under every nook and cranny outside.
Usually my kids find the shells like crazy and not as many snails but, this day, they found lots of snails... slimey icky, gross.... oh, you get my point.
At anyrate, one became Annas "pet" now , this is not a pet to come in doors oooh no.. but, she declared it her pet at anyrate.
I found it so amusing to see my daughter whom at times is the frilliest girly girl I know, let a slimey nasty slug crawl up and down her arm! BUT, she did just that, all day.
As gross as I thought it was, I thought that I HAD to snap a picture of it as, I remember once, a long long time ago, when I was a 7 year old girl and I also thought things like slugs, worms, spiders were cool.... oh my how that has changed. I am not a prissy girl who cant even see them. I can see a spider I can even kill one but I can NOT stand them ON me... nor do I like things buzzing by my ears ... and the worst, IN MY HAIR.. I hate when something gets caught in my hair.. ugh the torture.. for me, not the bug.. June bugs freak me out
Oh , sorry, this is a post about Anna and her snail, not a thereopy session for me eh?
Here are a couple of pictures of Anna with her new friend. I cant wait show them to her one day... when she does become a freak like me :P

I love Gabes smiley eyes in this one!

She didnt even care about the SLIMEY trail it was leaving on her hands and arms as it slid to and fro.. BLECH

Anna looks so proud of her little "pet" though!
