Christmas!

Christmas is going to be here before we know it! I really do love Christmas.. I love every thing about this time of year. I was sitting and reflecting on all the Christmases since I have been Married.. and I thought I would share.

Christmas 2002: It was my first Christmas Married to Jason... we were 19 weeks pregnant with Anna and, we chose Christmas/Christmas Eve. to be the time to tell our Parents that a little girl was on the way. We got A snow girl ornament for each of them and on the sweater of the snow girl, was the name Anna... it was so fun! Everyone was so thrilled.. ESPECIALLY us.

Christmas 2003: This was Annas first Christmas. It was so fun.. I loved picking out her first Christmas dress *that her Me Me bought* and going and getting her pictures taken.. and all the excitement of it all.

Christmas 2004: Gabe was here... it was HIS first Christmas. He was so handsome in his little suit.. Anna was older, and more fun to watch... she "got" it all more and was really into all the gifts...

Christmas 2005: Gabriel was a little older, more fun with all the Christmas stuff and Anna, even more still... they had so much fun and they jumped around the living room at my in laws to my father in law playing the accordion...

Christmas 2006: This was Kalebs First Christmas, tho his was not spent with all the excitement that a "baby's first Christmas" usually is full of. Gabe became REALLY sick on Christmas Eve. He had pneumonia and was admitted into the hospital immediately. Our night was full of ups and downs, at one point they told us that he was going to be put into the Pediatric intensive care unit... Thankfully, we had a ton of people praying and Gabe started to improve.. he woke up the next morning MUCH better and with a room FULL of NEW toys from the Hospital... we spent the day together as family in the hospital room... he came home that night.. altho the Drs said it would be days.. what do they know? :P

Christmas 2007: Was hustle and bustle as usual.. We had a nice uneventful Christmas.

Christmas 2008: Was a rough one. Half of our family knew we were expecting, the other half did not... alot of people who did know weren't all that "thrilled" ... it was hard to keep it a secret to those who didn't know. About midway through the day on Christmas day, my foot started to hurt.. I pressed on with my day and that night, when we got home, I came home and I had a red line running up my foot to my knee... I had an infection and we put all of our socks and shoes on and ran to the hospital. I was pregnant so, it was harder to treat me, I had something wrong with my foot, but we weren't able to really find out what it was.. no xrays etc.... but, after two bouts of antibiotic, the line was gone and I was sent home with an antibiotic.. Jason and the kids spent the evening at McDonald's.. all dressed in their Christmas clothes.... :)

This year, Christmas is going to be fun. Its Abby's first Christmas... and, I get to host Christmas day at my house... I am excited.. my dad, my mom, my step parents, my brother, his girlfriend, my husband, my children will all be in attendance... providing no one gets sick.. and I am excited to have a nice cozy Christmas with my family.....
God has been good, we have had some WONDERFUL Christmases... even the ones that didn't seem so wonderful at the time.. like when Gabe was so sick... I can now see how wonderful they were... God answered our Prayer.. God, healed my little boy. How WONDERFUL IS THAT?

You know, I had no idea that our so many of our children were the same ages. I too was pregnant with #1 in 02. John's first Christmas was in 03 and Ethan's first was in 04. But whereas Kaleb's first Christmas was in 06, Lydia's was in 07...but she was almost 11 months old. And same with Abby, this is Josiah's first. Neat, huh?

How fun to have your family at your house Christmas Day!

I think though you should have posted the picture of Jason showing just how he feels about it all :D Every time I see your icon I laugh.

Have a great Christmas!
