Oh How I dislike "Potty Time"

Anyone who knows me knows I am ANTI-pottytraining... I am not saying that anyone who potty trains is wrong, but for me, it doesnt work out well.
When Anna was 2 she had many signs of being ready... so, we did it, we dove in head first and "potty trained".. IT WAS AWFUL... the tears...on both our parts, the accidents, the disappointments..... did I mention the accidents?
Then Gabe came along, he turned two in August and I had decided NOT to potty train him until I was SURE he was ready.... In February, he started taking off his diaper and going on the potty all on his own, I remmeber after about a week of this thinking "wait, maybe he is ready for underware" He was, and never wore a diaper again, not even for bed.
So, you can imagine that after it going SO easy with Gabe .... I decided that I was ANTI potty training!!
So, I waited for Kaleb to turn two and eagerly anticipated his "readiness signs" he had them, several in fact ... but, his interest wasnt there.. he had NO desire to go on the potty.. in fact he was perfectly content to go into the corner, do his business and come to me with wipes and diaper in hand "can you change me?".
I on several occasions would say "no, I wont change you, you can sit in it" thinking that maybe, he would be grossed out and NOT want to sit in it anymore... nope, "ok" and off he goes.
We would kindly remind him every time that he had gone in his diaper that "big boys go on the Potty" and if he wanted to do something that he was too young for, we would nudge him again "Well if you went on the potty like a big boy, maybe"
But, again, I have never actually potty trained him. I figure its like this, I can dig a hole in the middle of winter with frozen ground, I could do it, but it would be VERY hard.. but if I wait till spring, when the ground thaws, it will be easy breezy.
I am HOPING that my spring is here! Yesterday he went on the potty several times.. today he went a couple times and tonight, on his own let me know that he had to "poopy on da potty"
I am hoping that its clicking with him... before not even offering candy was enough to have him attempt... at least he is now.
Anyways as he was on the potty, I had to giggle at his excitement.... He asked me to hold his and and every time he went, he would get so excited and ask me to look at it.. now, when EVER is it exceptable to look at another humans ...... waste? lol He would get so excited and when he was finished, he felt like he was ALL THAT... He was so proud!

Perhaps he is ready? perhaps he is not... I know that he wont go down the isle in a diaper, and if he does, he will have a VERY understanding wife. :P

Potty training is so difficult. I've often wanted to try infant potty training, but have never gotten up the bravery to do it.

When you signed up for the mother job, you didn't read the fine print that said "needed expertise: fecal material inspector...enthusiasm required."
