WEEK 27

week 27 is here YAY.
I had my one hour glucose yesterday along with my first of my "every two week" appointments.
When I got to my appointment I expressed concern because I hadnt felt her move that much in the past few days. Then, while she tried to find the heartbeat, she had a hard time so, I was sent off for a NST *non stress test* in Labor and Delivery... after an ultrasound and sometime later, I was able to see and hear my baby girl ... the reason why is, she is facing backwards and my placenta is in front of her.. thats fine, I can deal, as long as all is well.
I got ther see her moving around and they were amazed that I wasnt able to feel it.. As was I. I also got to see her "breath" which was neat to see... She told me that normally, a baby only "breathes" 3 times in like a 30 minute period... but Abigail as breathing like she was running a marothon so she did watch her for a few minutes.. She said "they normally only breath like this if they have extra energy" and when I explained that I had just got my glucose test done, she seemed satisfied that that was the reason for it and left wtih the machine...
I stayed hooked up for 20 minutes and everything was perfect. Starting Monday, I have to pick a time each day and lay down and chart her movements.
Being in Labor and Delivery was SO nastolgic... the smell, the sounds, the sights. It was like I was there for my first time again. I have fond memories for Labor and Delivery .... I am looking forward, yet still nervous, about having my little Abby.
Most of my anxiety comes from "what if I go into labor while I am alone with my kids" Now, this has yet to happen, the Lord has always allowed me to go into labor with my husband by my side.. but, you know how the mind works.
It will all work its self out, I have alot of people who live close enough, even a neighbor that I grew up knowing since I was a toddler. So, if all else fails, I will take my kids to hear and leave htem their til my mom can get them and call an ambulance.. coarse this does all depend on the time of day... trying to drive to my hospital at rush hour is pretty well out of the question.. it would take TOOO long.
Anyways its all stuff that I am worrying about for nothing. I have bigger fish to fry at this point.. like getting things READY... there is so much to do. yet, here I sit :D
