Our little get away.

Here in Michigan... anything north is "Up North" so if someone says "Where'd you go on your vacation?" "Up North" is a typical response.. Well this weekend, we went up north.. It was also my daughters 6th birthday weekend (as I had mentioned in a previous post )
The festivities started on Thursday evening when we had dinner with family and a few friends at the resturant of her choice.... this is a picture of her there. She had such a good time and has alot of people who love her *but then again, who couldnt :P)

When we got up north, our first stop was our property which is a stones throw from my dads. Jason was busy cutting down trees to make a "driveway" and Hates getting his picture taken as you can tell by the look on his face :)The kids stayed busy "helping" daddy move wood , REALLY what they were doing was trying to get logs into the huge puddle that resembled a small lake at the foot of our property. You can see that in the next picture of Kaleb.

Here is the Birthday Girl on her actual birthday with yet another cake and candles.. hey, she had to have a cake on her actual birthday as well .....

These next two I found darling. My dad got a pontoon boat and it isnt ready for the water just yet and my husband, dad and step uncle were busy working on it... when I walked up, Kaleb was all business, holding screws , fetching tools.. it was so cute... He stopped here long enough to pose for me.

We had a nice little break from life for a couple days.. with his new wacky schedule we do not know if he will be working days or afternoons from one day to the next.. it was nice to have some quality time.

We are looking forward to our next one.. only a few more little trips before our little Abby arrives so, we must get them in while we can.
