Turtle

Turtle is a bear *teddy bear* that I had as a kid and was my best pal till marriage. He never left my side and went through many heartbreaks and happy times.. even as a teenager, I took him in my car and buckled him in and took him where ever I was heading.
Obviously, as of my wedding night he became retired and he spent a good long time in my moms closet before she got tired of his presence and shipped him back to me. With me he sat for a couple of years till one day I decided to give him a good ole fashioned bath and see if my daughter would like to have him.
She was ever so pleased and he now sleeps by her side every night. A couple of times this week however, my daughter has ended up in my bed for whatever reason. She comes in with turtle and pillow in tow... soon after she drifts off to sleep tho, I find myself grabbing him up and tucking him under my head as I once did and falling asleep.
If he slides out, I wake up to find him.. funny isnt it? I havent had him in nearly 7 years and yet, its so familiar... obviously, I do not intend to keep turtle with me, he is still my daughters bear but, It was nice to cuddle up with him even if it were only a couple nights.

Ok, so, I should end this, I am nearly 32 years old talking about my teddy bear :P

LOL, I think it's cute. I have a rabbit that Bruce gave me when he left for the military and he was treated the same way as your turtle. He went everywhere with me. But I still slept with him even after Bruce and I were married. He wasn't retired until Justin was born. Now he sits in the top of the boy's closet waiting to be loved. I'll have to get him down and give him a hug now. LOL

How sweet! And what a cute name for a bear. It's neat that your daughter loves him now!
