UGH

I dont know why it bothers me, but it SURE DOES.... I get so bothered and grossed out when people dont wash their hands after using the restroom ESPECIALLY a public one...
Now, I admit it, I have a "thing" for germs, more then the average bear... in fact my "thing" for germs has had a few people think of me as snooty ... this is not the case... I dont think someone is gross if they dont clean up after chicken the way that I do, or watch what their kids put in their mouths due to germs... In fact, I envy those who CAN be more laxed on those things.. but, alas some people have thought me snotty for my obsession.... but, what can one do?
ANYWAYS my point was people w ho dont wash their hands... I remember that I watched people with a HAWK eye when my daughter was born, making sure that I either heard the water running after they went, or I saw wetness on their hands.... since then, my obession has got worse....
THe other day I had to take all three of my kids to a public potty, the older two had to go, and the youngest had a messy diaper.
When we got in there... there was a woman who , lets just say had been in there for a few ;)
My first thought was "awe poor thing, its bad enough to have to go in public and now, we are in here disrupting her "
My pity for her however was short lived as it went from sympothy to DISGUST. I listed as the lady flushed, opened her door, by passed the sink and went RIGHT OUT THE DOOR... ARE YOU KDDING ME? I was soo grossed out for the rest of our trip to this store I could hardly think of anything else.
This happened to me in a McDonalds once. My daughter had to go so we went in, and the bathroom was SMOKED FILLED. I was irritated as, its a smoke free resturant and here I was in this tiny room with no air.
As I stood outside the stall waiting for my daughter, a McDonalds employee emerges straightening her uniform... now, I was irritated that not only was someoen smoking but it was an employee.... she walked passed me, excused herself, walked up to the sink and adjusted her uniform and proceeded to leave the restroom without washing her hands..
Now, I dont make a stink about things.. I usually chalk things like not washing your hands up as poor habits...(tho a complelty disgusting one) but an employee who could have been handling our food?
I walked up the manager and told him what happened.. he didnt aknowledge me, so, I wrote to McDonalds and told htem of the situation...
It was taken care of and I was compinsated, tho, it was not my intentions.. I just thought that this place aught to know...
I just wish that people could find a happy medium between being a FREAK like me and being NASTY like these two ladies..... thats all I ask, is it too much?? :D

I am so with you on that subject.

I especially hate it when I go into a place to eat and someone who works there walks right out of the bathroom without washing their hands! YUCK! GROSS!

ha-I even keep a bolttle of germ-ex in my church pew.
