well Last week as I posted my son endured a 24 hour EEG.... It was uncomfortable BUT, the trooper he is, took it like a champ.
They told me that it would be about 2 and a half weeks till I found out the results...
Today I got a phone call from the Drs office and I was pleased thinking that we were getting the results early... BOY was I WRONG.
Instead of getting early results, I recieved word that when downloading the EEG .... it got messed up, therefore the test has to be REDONe... If this wasnt for my sons health, I wouldnt think twice about it. But, instead I will be going back a week from Wed to take my sweet boy back to the Nurologist and getting him all wired BACK up to the wires... the next day cleaning htem all off with a toothbrush and rushing them BACK up to the Drs office before 11 am (and its NOT close) they apologized and I do know that things happen, but, I am disturbed to have to go through it all again... but to top it ALL off , I have to wait to hear the results even longer~!
oh well, no use crying over the things we cant change right?
I got a huge chunk of the basement cleared and when my dh got home from helping paint the church... he graciously stepped right in and started working too. its no where NEAR finished BUT, we are in the HOME STRETCH. after I get it all cleared out, I plan to paint and then Dh will lay the carpet down... after that, I will be able to move the "classroom" down here so that I dont have to do it on my kitchen table.
I also intend for it to be a huge play area for my kids. A place where they have a little space to run free in the winter months. Maybe even ride their little bikes and such. My old house was big but we only utilized One bedroom, the bathroom and kitchen (oh the living room and kitchedn were like oen big room) ... our other house had alot of issues (built very very poorly by the previous owners putting on an addition) so, really we could only use those rooms... well we were pretty cramped... good thing we are a CLOSE family :)
Anyways... winter days could get pretty long once our third came.... I am looking forward to a spot our kids can get the wiggles out when need be!
I should post a before and after... but, even after all the cleaning my before is really embarassing... I will post pics of the finished product... we arent going fancy with it.. just painting hte existing walls and throwing some carpet down.. but, it will be a nice place!

I'm sorry about your son's test. I hope the next one goes all right.

Ok, I followed you over here. :)
That stinks about having to redo the test, but at least he seemed to like it the first time. If it had been horrible for him it would make it even more difficult to go through the process all over again.
Can't wait to see pics of the basement!
Oh Kristy, I'm like, "Are you kidding!" It figures doesn't it. Good thing your little man is such a brave trooper.
Can't wait to see the after picture of the basement, hey aren't all "before" pictures disgraceful anyhow???
Have a great time finishing that basement.
I'm so sorry about the test, Kristy! I hope everything goes right this time. What a huge bummer. Keep us posted.
