So, we have been telling my kids that we would go out and hunt lignting bugs.. they are completly facinated by them (what kid isnt) and we have SO many around here...
So, I saved two huge Apple sauce jars and while Daddy was at work we made new lables for them....
Here is Annas... hers has a picture of a jar with an apple on it since it was once an apple jar... and then along each side three Lightning bugs.... 
Gabriels is a little harder to determine what it is.. but he told me it was a plane catching lightning bugs....

Kaleb very very excited! and yes they ARE in their Jammies.. it was dark, we were in the park in our backyard... and they are cute.. WHo cares ?:P
we didnt catch many that night because it was a bit too dark.. but the other night we got 4 for Annas jar and 5 for Gabes... they were so excited!

Oh how sweet. I have fond memories of catching lightning bugs as a kid.
Oh well there's always tomorrow evening, isn't the hunt the best part?
That is precious. I remember when my boys would catch a jar full for their room. One night my oldest thought they wre cramped and decided to free them....in his bedroom! They are much easier to catch outside ;o}
The jars are sweet and yes, they are cute in their jammers!
We haven't seen any lightning bugs yet. I haven't even thought about it until you mentioned it. Hmm!

I LOVE fireflies (or lightning bugs ;) ). My kids have enjoyed catching them too this year. I can't believe how many there are these days after so many years of barely ever seeing any.
