Memorial Day

* this is my friends little boy Ethan. I took this just
the other day at a Mill.......*

MEMORIAL DAY is here! Too often all Memorial day is to Americans is a day off of work and a Bbq with friends and family... Its sad that starting my generation and those younger do not know what Memorial day is... In fact.. they arent and werent taught to be thankful and grateful to and for those who have risked there lives or given them for us to be where we are today... for them to HAVE that day off of work....
My family has a thing that when we see someone in the military we always go and shake there hand and thank them... All to often they *the military persons* arent sure how to respond..... this isnt because they arent grateful that we appreciate them.... its because its so UNCOMMON that they are just not sure what to say or do. I have watched many of there eyes soften and there faces change and a look of "umm ok" on there face when being thanked by my three year old ..... Why?? WHy dont they hear thank you?
HOW DARE America let this escape the public schools... How dare many americans Bash our miltary and our president ...

Its amazing to me that all these people have exactly what they asked for in this country... they have molded it and shaped it to be what THEY want..... all the "freedom of speech" all the libralism they could ask for yet, THEY bash it, THEY want out, THEY call our military awful names.....
There our countries out there going through crisis and thier leaders wont let anyone aide them... yet AMERICA IS A BAD PLACE TO BE?
I cant see how people cant see how lucky they are to have the men and woman out there who sacrifice so much and sometimes there lives so that they can be so ANTI- American.... shame shame..
sorry for my mini rant :)
but remember tomorrow.... and if you know someone in the military or if you see one on the street.. THANK them.. and if you are at a parade tomorrow.... CLAP for them.. stand up and show them respect! ... and this goes for the men and woman in the fire department and police departments as well.... they are all here serving us.
BE THANKFUL~

Amen amen and amen Kristy!

Living in Europe I am constantly seeing people bash our country but they would give their left arm to be an American. Truely we are blessed to be Americans.

I need to work harder at teaching my kids the value of Memorial Day. Surprisingly it sneaks by us many times without even notice.

Thanks for a great post, have a great Memorial Day!
Freedom isn't free here on this earth of in Heaven!

Well I am sure that its easily forgotten when you are not here... its not as tho you have constant reminders there in Europe!
Iwish that others would see that there are people risking there lives to get IN this country... (aside from those who are fighting for this country).
I just get soo riled up about it. if you havent noticed :P
